For Omexco’s 50th anniversary celebration at The Sloane Club, Hayton Posey was invited to create the floral design for an evening celebrating five decades of the Belgian wallcovering brand. The project came through our growing relationship with The Sloane Club, with the Club’s events team referring Omexco to Hayton Posey as part of our partnership.
From the outset, the brief was about more than flowers. Omexco’s world is rooted in texture, pattern and an appreciation of natural materials, so we developed a floral concept that could sit naturally alongside the brand’s visual identity.
For the dinner, we created an organic, meadow-inspired tablescape using seasonal British flowers and foliage. Pink Yorkshire heather formed the basis of the design, complemented by antique-toned hydrangeas, cow parsley, and trailing green amaranthus. Rather than creating uniform centrepieces, the flowers were arranged in an ikebana-inspired style, allowing individual stems, movement and texture to remain visible.
The entrance was treated as its own floral moment. We created a sculptural installation around the doorway, designed to be the first point of contact between guests and the anniversary celebration.
The collaboration also extended into the wider tablescape. Working with the Omexco team, we suggested incorporating their own wallcovering directly into the dinner setting, using it as a table runner to introduce another layer of texture beneath the florals. We then carried the same material through to the menus, with the wallpaper cut and used as part of the printed menu design. The result was a table where the brand’s product, floral design and event styling became part of one visual language.
Behind the finished installation was a carefully coordinated production schedule. The floral work was planned in two stages, with the entrance sculpture and smaller ikebana arrangements installed in the morning, followed by the main table flowers later in the day. This allowed each element to be designed and positioned at the right moment while working within the venue’s access requirements and guest schedule.
From the first enquiry through to final timings, installation and post-event follow-up, the project was managed with the same attention to detail as the creative itself. The result was an anniversary setting that felt distinctly Omexco: tactile, contemporary, natural and highly considered. For Hayton Posey, the project demonstrates how floral design can become an extension of a brand’s identity, while thoughtful planning and onsite coordination ensure that the creative vision translates seamlessly into the finished event.
